Not an AIBU but need some guidance!

At the bottom of my staircase (open plan - in lounge/diner) there is a radiator on an otherwise blank wall. I really want to do something with the space that doesn’t block the stairs obviously but I can’t think what!

There is a light switch slap bang in the middle which scuppered my plan to put a big mirror up.

Could anyone give a creatively challenged woman a bit of inspiration?

Walls are currently magnolia but I’m in the process of testing paint to redecorate.

Difficult to say without seeing the space.

Wide radiator cover with framed pictures leaning against the wall along the top? So that it looks like a console table more than a radiator cover

Move the light switch so you can put furniture and/or mirror there?

Could you post a photo? Do you want something on the wall or something on the floor?

Wall: I'd go for a gallery of prints or photos. I did this in my last house, bought loads of dofferent white frames, sizes, textures etc. Looked really good and planning another one in my new house. I've also seen someone do loads of pretty little mirrors. Not my cup of tea but would look nice in the right house.
Could also put a little shelf up with a few 'coffee table' style books, vase etc.

Floor: I'd do a standard lamp, floor vase, if space a comfy/pretty chair, small coffee table with a reading light.

Hard to picture without seeing the space though!
