to ask if the bleeding will stop

I started on desogestral a few months back and although my periods are lighter, they're a lot more frequent ( every 18 days or so ) and a lot longer too. Does this ever stop/is it normal? I can't cope if this is how it will be the whole time of taking it. Is it worth carrying on to see if it stops or change to the combined pill?

I was on the mini pill for and it turned me a bit crazy. I started having anxiety attacks and felt that I was losing my mind. I was also bleeding continuously. Changing it to a different one helped and although I bled every month it was lighter and for less time.

I’ve been on that for about three years and don’t have any bleeding at all now, it’s great for me! I can’t really remember what it was like at the start though, sorry.

That happened to me - I had to come off the combi pill because of migraine with aura, and I tried the mini pill for 3 months and didn't stop bleeding (albeit lightly). My doctor doubled my dose and it stopped the periods completely. After a few months I was able to return to the normal dose and I haven't had a period since (I've had minor spotting a few times, but that's it). I've been on it for 4-5 years now. Good luck!

Mine did. Quite erratic to start off but very occasional very tiny periods now.
