Fireworks this early?

I know IABU but I fancy a rant.

Getting sick of people around letting off loud screechy banging fireworks every night!

People need to calm down - it's not even Halloween yet!

I wish shops would sod off selling them this early.

I haven’t heard any rogue ones yet, but I live close enough to a wedding venue that seems to have them most weekends now.

YANBU I think you should need a licence to buy them and they shouldn’t be available in supermarkets.

The fireworks are probably for Diwali rather then Bonfire night. Where I live it seems any occasion is a good excuse for a firework display as we seem to get them all year round. I would be quite grateful if it was only confined to this time of year. Grin

ArsenicGreen · 23/10/2019 19:33

Isn’t it for Diwali?

Drogosnextwife · 23/10/2019 19:34

Yup, they were letting them off on Saturday night here. Our local sainsbury isn't selling them this year though. Doesn't stop them right enough.

JustaScratch · 23/10/2019 19:35

I live in Spain and they love fireworks. We hear them pretty much every weekend, during the week in fiestas and holidays and often during the middle of the day or the odd one at 4, 5 in the morning. You do get used to them after a while and our dog is not bothered by them at all! Sorry, not helpful I know Grin

Ohh I didn't even click that it is Diwali... my bad!

Chavs setting them off left right and centre round here at all hours. My hubby might do time for murder. They shouldn’t be for sale to the general public tbh.

Abouttimemum · 23/10/2019 19:47

Definitely not Diwali celebrations round these parts!

miserabl · 23/10/2019 19:48

Just sick of them to be honest. I love fireworks - on the rare occasion. But every night is really getting on my nerves at this point!
