Bathroom... Blinds? net? None??

Decorating bathroom. Roman blind that is in there is mouldy at the back. Wondering whether to replace with another blind, hang some sort of voil from a curtain pole, or have nothing there.
What would /do you have?

Bathroom is upstairs with frosted /bumpy?! Glass and no houses facing, so it's private enough

I don't have anything at my bathroom window.

Bofster37 · 22/10/2019 13:31

Nothing

Redshoeblueshoe · 22/10/2019 13:32

Nothing here either

KindOfAnAdult · 22/10/2019 13:33

Ooh this is what I was planning toward, but worried it might look too bare. I'm glad others do this.

Nothing here either, but tbh that's due to laziness rather than a conscious decision!

areyouafraidofthedark · 22/10/2019 13:39

I have a blind in all bathrooms.

Myimaginarycathasfleas · 22/10/2019 13:41

If you're sure (or don't care) that you can't be seen when the light is on, I'd say go without.

Rubytinsleslippers · 22/10/2019 13:43

I have roller blinds, but they are bathroom ones so have a kind of plastic coating so no mould.

misskatamari · 22/10/2019 13:51

nothing here too

Karatema · 22/10/2019 16:02

Check you are not "visible" when the light is on! Apparently, I gave the teenager, in the house behind ours, hours of pleasure BlushConfused a few winters ago, until his mother realised (then she knocked on our door)!

We now have a blind!

smileylottie87 · 22/10/2019 16:19

Just frosted glass here, you could always add something in later if if doesn't work for you

AuntImmortelle · 22/10/2019 16:28

We have blinds. New ones as we've recently done the bathroom. Two windows and glass not frosted as original sash 120 yr old windows. The ones we took our weren't mouldy at all. But I generally keep one window permanently open a few inches. As we have a teenage boy next door I felt blinds were a must!

Junkmail · 22/10/2019 16:30

At our old house I had wooden blinds in the bathroom. I like them but they’re a pain to dust. Now I have nothing—just the frosted window. It’s fine.

TheRobinIsBobbingAlong · 22/10/2019 16:33

I have a roller blind in the upstairs bathroom. More to stop the glare of the sun when trying to use the mirror than for any other reason.

CSIblonde · 22/10/2019 17:14

Some frosted glass is still quite see thru especially at night with a light on. I have a voile type white blind, it's pretty & not overwhelming in a v small bathroom.
