Give me Dunelm Mill and George any day of the week. What exactly am I missing?

It's ok to like Dunelm, George and Jo Malone. I like all of them but don't find them comparable.

So what makes Jo Malone worth it?

I like the perfume. It smells nice. It is expensive but so are a lot of other perfumes. I also like the candles. But I also like cheaper candles. But i wouldn't buy any cheaper equivalents in Sainsbury or Dunelm so I find them odd stores for comparison.

I think they’ve done very well with the branding.
I like a couple of their fragrances (lime basil and mandarin is an old fave) but I don’t think their candles are worth the money unless you want a particular scent. The ingredients aren’t the best and throw is terrible. For a similar price I think Diptyuqe and Byredo are better. There are also cheaper ones that are better as well.

I like www.ateliercologne.com/

I don't like Jo Malone, my sisters all do though. We all have different likes, there's no harm in that!

I've never smelled it, but presumably it's worth it to the people who like it.

Elodie2019 · 21/10/2019 08:47

Branding. People buy into it.

hipslikecinderella · 21/10/2019 09:08

I love Ruth Mastenbroek for fragrance. I always use her reed diffusers in my hallway and everyone compliments the scent. Not as £££ as JM.

Jo Malone is now owned by Estee Lauder, Jo Loves is the independent/quality one now.
