To ask about disabling camera on iPhone

I'm really sorry but extensive googling can't solve this

I've got in iPhone SE. I've stuck tape over the camera but it still works the other way I.e. I can use it as a mirror.

I wanted to disable it completely but every solution I find is based on a setting I don't seem to have - called "restrictions"? I'm guessing the camera is an app that can't be disabled?

Anyone know how to do this, thanks!

You can block access for individual apps via settings>privacy>camera. There’s also screen time>content and privacy restrictions, which you can use to block which apps can access or edit your photos.
Sounds like you want a phone completely without a camera though. Maybe a cheap old phone would suit you better.

what do you mean the tape only works one way? the phone has 2 cameras, 1 at the front and 1 at the back, it sounds like you put tape over the back one, you need to put tape on the front one too. It should be at the top near the speaker bit

Yes, I'm that big a plum, I didn't realise I had to cover the front and back
