To say my friends are the best

I'm having a really tough time at the moment - long term relationship over, worried about finances and DCs - however when I needed them my amazing friends just stepped right up without question or hesitation and have done everything they can to make things better for me

AIBU to say friendships are way more important than any partnership

YABU. I’m glad that you’ve had some good friendships to get you through the tough times. However, I find that my partner of 20+ years has been a tremendous support to me, while friends have come and gone. I tend to find that friends are good at providing support through a crisis but when that’s resolved, ultimately they have their own families so you can end up feel lonely longer term.

In my life partners have come and gone, my oldest friend has been there for me since we were 5 years old. I’m nearly 31, my other friendships are mostly all at least over 10 years, my newest friendship is nearly 4 years.

There’s a party arranged for me this weekend, each of us takes turns at hosting the others birthday party. In fairness I’ve only got 4 i count as close friends but it’s the perfect number for us. We all have our own circles too.

Yep my best friend has been my best friend since we were 5 and we are now 33. We've weathered all sorts of horrendous men and situations together We are constants in each other's lives.

Good for you OP. I never had this, moved around the world a lot as a young adult so don't have very close group of friends, rather lots of social friends.

My husband on the other hand is my rock.
