Woo thread

This threads been inspired by another one on house viewing but this is 'positive woo'

I didnt used to believe in the afterlife or spiritual world at all but this has changed with life experience. In 2008 had an extremely traumatic experience but tried to carry on best I could and one thing that was counteracting the dark times - there was a shaft of light in the sense I felt that something good would happen. Towards the end of 2009 even when faced with a disappointment I thought something good would happen at some point I just didn't know what. On Xmas day 2009 I went out for an hours walk to some local shops and even though I'm not churchgoing on this Christmas I felt just an overwhelming sense of hope. It wasn't based on anything rational just a feeling. Anyway in March 2010 something unbelievably good happened to me which I honestly thought would never happen in my lifetime. As someone that never used to believe in anything spiritual I've had a sort of 'about turn' It's nice to have a woo thread that's not scary

The point of this thread is to say to anyone going through a difficult time - if a shaft of light appears in the midst of it -let it give you hope!!

What happened to you, OP?

Charley1988 · 20/10/2019 02:43

The thing in March 2010 was associated with a good relationship

My sister and I went to look at a house she had decided to buy. On the way there we decided a good name would be Rainbow's End. When I looked at the house on Google Streetview, there was a big rainbow coloured smear across the house!

Charley1988 · 20/10/2019 02:50

Looks like it was meant to be Flamed

Yes YABU. What hope are you giving them? Some crap about having a good feeling and then have something positive happens? Do you actually believe that was the work of the supernatural? Really?Hmm

Charley1988 · 20/10/2019 03:01

Marmite no I don't think it was the ' supernatural' BUT I think a sense of hope can appear for people who've been through a dark time

MarmiteOrGoHome · 20/10/2019 03:07

Just post an 'inspirational' meme and me done with it.

DonKeyshot · 20/10/2019 03:43

It seems to me you're an optimist, OP.

You were able to sense, feel, or 'see', a light at the end of your tunnel, but others can't and their hopelessness can overwhelm them.

Charley1988 · 20/10/2019 04:07

DonKeyshot I have had several years when a sense of hopelessness has overwhelming me so I do understand and that feeling is f'in horrible
