AIBU to ask what credit Card you use to collect points?

DH has been collecting AirMiles on his credit card, but I want to fly less, or not at all, so I want to stop doing this. Can anyone recommend a credit card that gives points for something other than Air Miles?

I have a Barclaycard freedom rewards card, you collect points on every transaction (£1 is 1 point I believe). It’s like 2k points for a £5 voucher lol.

It’s okay but I’m sure there’s much better reward cards out there! If I could be bothered to switch, I would.

M&S isn't too bad. You get regular vouchers and I can always find something to spend them on.

Look at money saving expert. It depends on where you spend and how much we hugh petrol costs or if you shop at Waitrose. We have the John Lewis card as we shop at Waitrose and a bit at John Lewis. It’s by far the best fit us but wound to suit everyone.

*eg high petrol cost.. (sorry!)

Tesco and American Express

NonUrinatInVentum · 19/10/2019 15:41

We use our American Express for our weekly shop, petrol and various household expenses. We get air miles for Air France/KLM with it. Adds up quickly!

I use tesco. I mostly use the points for meals out.

John Lewis- it’s fab and I get about £50 in vouchers every few months

JustDanceAddict · 19/10/2019 16:02

John Lewis here too

PoohBearsHole · 19/10/2019 16:03

John Lewis here too. Love getting the vouchers that don’t expire and can be used online/instore

gingercat02 · 19/10/2019 16:10

JL here too. I love when my vouchers arrive, you can spend them in Waitrose too if you want

ImJustTiredOk · 19/10/2019 20:36

Yep John Lewis. I don’t shop in Waitrose regularly but do go in for lunch or a few bits now and then. I use it all month and always get at least £20 voucher so that’s a real bonus. If we buy something big like a holiday or furniture or something then I use it for that too; means more vouchers that quarter! I don’t get anywhere near 50 though, so previous poster must shop there a lot - you get double points in Waitrose/JL but single points everywhere else which is where I shop more!

BolloxtoGender · 19/10/2019 20:38

Yep John Lewis. I love receiving the JL vouchers through the post and having the very first world problem of deciding what to buy .....
