To have a crush on Sam Smith

Sam has been 'criticised' on more than one thread here ('criticised' is putting it politely. However just watching their video 'Dancing with a Stranger' and he's gorgeous - tall, lean with good facial features. 😍 Thought they were gorgeous in the 'Promises' video also . Again, tall, handsome, good physique. ❤️ Also young and successful. What's not to love?

I don't think I've ever heard him sing, and I just had to google to see what he looks like.

  1. He's not attractive.
  2. Even if he had been, I'd be too busy laughing right in the face of someone who told me they were non binary to notice.

Yanbu. I've fancied gay men before as a straight woman. And Sam Smith is handsome. Having said that- I lost a lot of respect for him when he said he realised he was a woman because he gains fat in the same places women do.... like all women gain fat in the same places.

YABVVU. Ewww, no. Sam Smith is one of the least attractive men I have ever seen in the public eye. Even when he lost weight - 3 and a half stone or so - he was no better looking.

In fact, I would go so far as to say that Sam Smith looks worse now he has lost 3 and a half stone.

IMO, he looked better before (when he had a bit of weight on him,) than he did after he had lost it all. I don't know if he lost too much, but he looks very gaunt and 'too thin' in the 'after' shot here...

rainingallday I do think he looks better post weight loss personally. But IMO he looks best in the 'Promises' and 'Dancing with a Stranger' vids like he has a gorgeous physique!

He was actually quite cute when he first started out (e.g. in the Stay With Me video). The difference between that video and Too Good At Goodbyes is pretty shocking. I don't think the weight loss, hair cut and facial hair do him any favours at all. Or the outfits he wears nowadays.

I know it's shallow, and obviously it's good that he's being true to himself and wearing what he wants etc (and he's probably healthier after the weight loss). But it's not an attractive look for me.

TooMuch87 see I don't find him particularly attractive in his 2014 vid I think he's much better in Too Good For Goodbyes! But it's the Promises one where he got my attention!

People who are morbedly obese aren't told they are slim and don't need to lose weight.
People who are anorexic aren't told they are a healthy weight and will be fine.

And for that one person who said Sam Smith would probably class you as transphobic for saying what your saying if they did they would be damn right bc almost everything on this thread that I have read had been transphobic In some way. There r so many people that feel the same way as Sam Smith and the fact that they feel comfortable enough in the world they live in to come out as non-binary is a HUGE step forward from where we where even 10 years ago. Being non binary is not a way to get attention and if it was Sam Smith wouldnt need to use it they'd just have to sing another amazing song which by the way they DID. I for one am proud I live in a country that getting more and more accepting of different people and our trans brothers and sisters need the validation that Sam Smith is giving them more than anything and for me to come on here and read all this noncence has made me want to go out and shoot myself you should all be ashamed

@Hddheb oh bore off, it is OFFENSIVE that he is saying he "thinks like a woman" wtf does a woman think like? If I said I thought like a black person I'd rightly be told to check my privilege and get over myself. I do not need a white, rich man to tell me he thinks like me, he has no fucking clue how I think or about the problems I have in my life as a result of my SEX. But sure, I'm the offensive one on the wrong side of history.

The things sam smith has said recently [about his body fat distribution and because some men he's had sex with have said they're heterosexual means sam is "feminine"], this drivel is at best, rude and sexistly stereotypical. Moobs and a belly don't mean anything, "i'm just me" he says, we are all "just us" hasn't he noticed?
But anyway, fancy whomever you like.

He has nice eyes.

But he comes across as a whiny, drippy, attention seeking navel gazer, so I don’t find him in the last bit attractive, no.

The non binary waffle just compounded it for me.
