I have a friend on facebook who's trying to raise £3500 so he can go on a trekking 'challenge' through Vietnam for five days. I don't get it?
Firstly, why should I part with my hard earned cash for him to go on an adventure of a lifetime. Secondly, Why do charities do this? Why send people on a challenges that cost a fortune and the charity only get say £1000, why not do something local like, going for a 5 day hike on the Yorkshire Moors, mid December which includes camping under the stars, now there's a challenge!

I don't get it. I'd feel a right cheeky cow fundraising for something like the Vietnam trip.
