iPad password

Posting here for traffic and desperate for help!

Usual story - found old iPad at the bottom of a drawer and can't remember the 4 digit password.

I'm pretty sure I don't have a backup (but I back up my iPhone nightly).

A quick google tells me I can reset it but it wipes it and I lose all my data.

Is there any way I can get into it without losing all my data? There must be a geeky hacker out there in the vastness of mumsnet! Pleeeeeease!

Try plugging into a computer with iTunes

If you haven't used it for ages, what data is there going to be on there that you need?

Nothing of any importance, like you say, but it's kind of like a modern day short lived time capsule! I want to see what pics and games etc are on it from five years ago!

Ring the Apple support. They are really good; If you know your security questions they may be able to reset it at their end?
