To want to elope

Just that really. DP and I have been thinking of getting married for a while but I’m thinking let’s just get it done!!! We have a —very new— baby and a toddler, and assets are all in my name: so no legal protection needed per se but I know it is important

Sounds like a great idea! Good luck!

My friends did this, it was just them, myself and our other friend as witnesses and then we had a nice meal afterwards, then they went away for a long weekend. It was fab!

We didn't elope as such because everyone knew we were doing it, but we went off to NYC just the two of us and got married in Central Park. We hired an elopement planner who filed all of the permits, provided an officiant and a photographer. All we had to do was go to city hall the day before to get our marriage licence, it was great!
