That really.. Not likely to die am I? Its just like icecream isn't it? It will defrost as I eat it anyway so why should I defrost before eating apart from to save my sensitive teeth hurting?

In our household frozen cake is often eaten.

It just won't be a very pleasant experience, and the flavour will be masked by the cold. How desperate are you?

PooWillyBumBum · 14/10/2019 19:14

Cake takes minutes to defrost IME. Tends to defrost as you eat it (yes, I have been that desperate). Could you not pop it in the microwave?

You’ll be fine, get it down you. I used to do this with Birds Eye Super Mousses when I was a kid. Enjoy!

We started eating frozen cake when I used to make cake for packed lunches. Sliced and frozen in individual portions ready to pack up.
Husband often roamed the kitchen looking for snacks then started to raid the freezer but couldn’t be bothered to defrost the cake. I then picked up the habit and now I don’t even pre slice the cake as very easy to slice whilst still frozen and butter cream doesn’t seem to freeze solid.
It saves cake being wasted as with just the two of us now .

I know it only takes seconds to defrost a slice of cake and yes, taste is affected a bit but husband doesn’t seem to mind and I’m not going to do it for him .

I remember eating those Birds Eyes Mousse frozen too and in the past, frozen cheesecake
