Getting wet in the Rain

Aibu to think I get wetter than anyone else? I look around and everyone casually pops their hood up at most, I'm there in a waterproof with hood up and still end up with hair stuck to my head, raindrops dripping from my nose, sodden thighs, an umbrella that's turned inside out. No one else looks like this!

ME!!!! I always say this! Other people will be slightly damp and I’ll literally be sodden, when I get inside I’ll have make up down my face, rain dripping off my nose, sopping wet clothes... I don’t understand it! I’m sure you’ll have other posters telling you this is ridiculous but I 100% agree with you OP! I’m ALWAYS a drowned rat while everyone else seems pretty much okay!

I’m a drowned rat, too. My waterproofs are never waterproof and my feet are always completely soaked.

Me. Wearing glasses is always horrific. But I am always grubby and dirty. I could never imagine wearing white linen trousers

Exactly the same here.
Some women look so pretty with their flushed cheeks and tendrils of damp hair.

Mine ends up stuck to my face, with my feet squelching around in my shoes and everything in my handbag all wet.

Get a decent Sea Salt type sailing waterproof that deals with all kinds of weather being thrown at it - you can often pick them up on eBay for a lot less than full price. And some good wellies.

I sort of presumed my outdoorsy duvet coat was waterproof. It's not. BECAUSE IT'S A DUVET. I looked like I'd been thrown in the canal by the time I got home. Saturated in ten minutes.

I had to go to a meeting once in the next town - this was before I had a car, so I went by bus. I came out and there was an absolute cloudburst - raindrops were bouncing up from the pavement so I was soaked from above and below. Anyway I got the bus and as we drove along, I'm sitting there with puddles forming round my feet - but everyone else was dry as a bone - I was getting those sideways looks - and when I got back to the office my colleagues just fell about laughing - no sympathy there whatsoever.

Me too. I wear glasses - they always look like they need windscreen wipers in the rain. Cue the other type of glasses wearer who doesn't seem to have a drop on them. How do they do that? And mine steam up as soon as I walk into a building - everyone else seems fine. I look like I've spent an hour in a steam room.
