Is your horse full livery, Tyserol?

(Have to admit- £250/month is not far off what I spend on the dogs - a springer, 2 cockers and a great dane - the cockers eat as much as the dane (literally - this is not an exaggeration) - they eat a hell of a lot for smallish dogs, and he doesn't eat as much as people imagine a giant dog would.) And of course, there is insurance . . . can't afford not to have it these days.

madcatsazz · 14/10/2019 19:35

I too have been lurking and laughing out loud at the comments.

And then I came across this post by @donquixotedelamancha

I don't think you should be as bolshy as others are suggesting. £14 is not worth giving her any cause to make you the bad guy. Your tone is fine.
^
And I nearly spit out my coffee!!^ Where did it become £14?! 😂. With this and the ticket thread I'm dying (sorry Donquix, not so much laughing at you but just the sheer hilarity in these threads)

Actually I think it's £11 left, I mistyped. Was £35, £24 was transferred (i.e. specifically last month's debt). I agree it's very entertaining, particularly the randoms who get mad at OP.

Witchinaditch · 14/10/2019 19:43

@Amelia2000 I think Chong a dong means eat a d*ck 😂 dong is slang for that isn’t it so I assume that’s what it means...

altiara · 14/10/2019 19:45

OP, I know you said why you want your text to be friendly. But you could just send it as a ‘reminder’ without the fluffy bits eg
Reminder - new lunch club rules, all money to be paid up front before 11am Friday. No dong, no Chong.

You did say your new phrase fitted everything didn’t you Grin

Fredastaireatemyjamsandwich · 14/10/2019 19:46

Chong a dong! My new saying!!

altiara · 14/10/2019 19:47

@Witchinaditch so I’ve just written ‘no dick, no eat’ 😂

LivingDeadGirlUK · 14/10/2019 19:52

@altiara I'll claim that for when its my turn to do dinner XD

avocadoincident · 14/10/2019 19:54

@NoSquirrels I saw that thread too and someone commented on there is this woman in a lunch club Smile

CatsCatsCats11 · 14/10/2019 20:03

As if this is on thread 2 already. I don't think your getting your £11 anytime soon.

giantwatermelon · 14/10/2019 20:04

How am I meant to sleep tonight? The suspense is too much!

custardbear · 14/10/2019 20:04

Has she got back yet @Amelia2000 ?

Itsallpetetong · 14/10/2019 20:06

If she hasn’t paid by Thursday pm is everyone just taking their own lunch in on Friday?

Redshoesandtheblues · 14/10/2019 20:08

You mean I've just told my cat to go eat a dick????

Seriously???😳

gingeristhenewblack43 · 14/10/2019 20:09

Read both threads and aghast at the sheer CFuckeryness. Some people just have no shame!

A few weeks ago a colleague got me a Greggs mince pie. She had a family emergency and left work before I had paid her the £1.70 or whatever, then I was off on annual leave for 2 days. It was obviously playing on my subconscious mind as I had a dream about her asking for her money for the mince pie. I paid her as soon as I got into work on my return and apologised, even though we are good friends 😂

SauvignonBlanche · 14/10/2019 20:09

My guess is she’ll be all tearful and wounded tomorrow.

DonningDaFlameProof · 14/10/2019 20:15

Even DP is invested in this thread.

Redshoesandtheblues · 14/10/2019 20:19

Kudos to OP for using the insult as her title!
That is hilarious!

I'd missed original post as well, but it clearly will live on. Grin

Jooleigh · 14/10/2019 20:19

Oh I just love threads like this, the CFeryness of some people.
Has anyone else got an image of her going through Asda's (or probably Waitrose's) checkout & saying "well I believe you've got 90 days credit with Warburtons so I'll pay for my bread in 3 months & you've got 60 days credit with Birds Eye so I'll pay for my peas in 2 months....."

Allmyarseandpeggymartin · 14/10/2019 20:34

You know she’s going to pay up on Friday and pay for her lunch and we are all going to be devastated that the drama is over!

Newkitchen123 · 14/10/2019 20:35

Must confess haven't RTFT but have you tried the split wise app? Everyone can see who has paid and who owe what

Redshoesandtheblues · 14/10/2019 20:37

Newkitchen don't spoil things with practical suggestions!!!

BumbleBeee69 · 14/10/2019 20:37

jesus christ RTFT Hmm

Newkitchen123 · 14/10/2019 20:38

Sincere apologies redshoes
