How is this thread still in my mind after almost 3 years

Christ alive, you didn’t replan your life on the basis of this thread, did you? You clicked one button, saw an old thread and then presumably clicked away again. The end. If your time that I ‘wasted’ is so precious, why did you waste even more by commenting on the thread?

Thanks Stillcoughing for wasting my time by reviving a thread that did not need to be refreshed with a silly comment about an emoji used in January HmmHmmHmmHmm

I'm not surprised the OP didn't come back Hmm

Maybe it was this stupid little face Hmm

Sad that I am, an update would be good @Amelia2000!

In my workplace we can get in big trouble for discussing stuff on social media - I bet poor OP was reported to HR and has been warned against continuing with the thread.

^^agreed

Nah, posters are anonymous, she could say it's a strange coincidence that poster also has a thief at her workplace

I’m late to the party but I’ll never fail to be shocked at what people manage to get offended over. The title isn’t remotely racist and imo the poster that managed to twist it into a race argument has problems with comprehension. I really hope op does update the latest but given the way the thread was hijacked I don’t blame her for disappearing.

AIBU to think that OPs should at least give 'closure' to those people kind enough to spend time reading and commenting advice when OPs have asked for it in the first place?

Yes a bit. We have no idea what else might be going on in an OP’s life that pushes the AIBU? issue off their radar. Something as simple as a poorly child or car breaking down is more pressing than a matter that has been resolved.

I don't think the op owes anyone anything.

Thanks to the person who derailed the op's thread by pulling the race card on the title it has since went off on a bizzare tangent.

The op did say she was signing off so that's it. Show is over.

Oldbird, you need to go to the website and go to settings in My Mumsnet and enable it there. Not sure whereabouts in settings it is, though, sorry, as it's ages since I did it.

On an android phone, how do I turn the op's posts a different colour please? (See my user name for explanation of why I don't know 🙁)
