As yet, still waiting for B to pay the remaining £11.

Anyone think that maybe the person found this thread and thats why the OP hasn't come back...

TheKarateKitty · 18/10/2019 19:28

Perhaps, as another poster predicted, B brought in a boiled egg for lunch and gassed out the place. Amelia may still be recovering.

femfemlicious · 18/10/2019 19:57

Sigh @Amelia2000 where art thouSad

JustHereWithPopcorn · 18/10/2019 22:11

Excellent!😂😂😂

MyNewBearTotoro · 18/10/2019 23:59

Another one hoping for a final Friday update...

TheMaddHugger · 19/10/2019 00:30

WTF did Red post that was delete worthy?? I don't recall anything like that 🤯😱

Sugarandspiceandallthat · 19/10/2019 01:34

How can she not update on Friday's lunch??!!
I haven't felt disappointment like this since the last episode of Lost in 2010!

Blahblahblah12345 · 19/10/2019 09:04

How have we not had an update 😕😕 been waiting patiently.

SchadenfreudePersonified · 19/10/2019 09:26

WTF did Red post that was delete worthy??I don't recall anything like that

Nor do I Hugger - I can't remember the posts in detail, but there wasn't anything offensive that I was aware of - I'm sure I would have remembered that.

I wish OP would just give one brief post eg "Lunch Club went ahead - ALL paid up front" or "No Lunch Club" or "Lunch Club minus 1" or something.

A blow-by=blow account would be fabulous, but I can see why she'd prefer to step back from the carnage . . . butt I soooo want to know the result . . .

Stravapalava · 19/10/2019 09:50

I'm guessing someone in the situation found the thread & that's why B went to HR. She got told to pay, OP got told to stop posting.

BloggersBlog · 19/10/2019 09:59

@Stravapalava interesting idea! Can HR really tell someone to stop anonymously posting on an internet forum? I suppose if it's in work time they may have a point but no one can 100% prove who you are so surely they don't have the right to say? Genuine questions!

SchadenfreudePersonified · 19/10/2019 10:12

Oooh!

That could be right Stravaplava - Good thinking!

rainbowstardrops · 19/10/2019 10:38

What a shame there wasn't a final update but I'm sure there's good reason for that.

rededucator · 19/10/2019 11:21

I think Strava has hit the nail in the head

TheoriginalLEM · 19/10/2019 13:59

I gave read both threads. The OP posted very few times and was probably less invested in it than many of the posterson the thread itself. Friday either, they all had lunch, b paid or they all had lunch but b didnt join in. Both non events really and the OP has carried on with their life.

Often this happens on here, especially if posters write with humour or are particularly engaging. People are looking to be entertained so the threads take on a life of their own.

I'd like a feature when i can scroll directly to the Ops comments in some threads but then i might miss out I guess.

Motoko · 19/10/2019 16:26

Well, you can scroll to the OP's posts, if you use the feature that allows you to change the colour of their posts to highlight them. That's what I do.

It would be nice though, if you could click a button so that you only saw the OP's posts. It would make finding and reading the OP's posts on a long thread, much easier, and might avoid getting so many posters, who only read the first post, asking questions that the OP has already answered. It would also mean we wouldn't have to waste time scrolling through a thread, only to find the OP never came back to the thread.

Charliecatpaws · 19/10/2019 16:29

Very disappointing indeed, I’ve waiting all week for the Friday update........

CokeAndCrispsAndDip · 19/10/2019 16:32

OPs last post was her signing out and thanking posters. She didnt intend to keep this going on, don't think there were to be any more updates.

Oldbird69 · 19/10/2019 17:57

On an android phone, how do I turn the op's posts a different colour please? (See my user name for explanation of why I don't know 🙁)

WombleishofThigh · 19/10/2019 18:02

Oldbird, you need to go to the website and go to settings in My Mumsnet and enable it there. Not sure whereabouts in settings it is, though, sorry, as it's ages since I did it.

Notwiththeseknees · 19/10/2019 19:33

It's worse than Brexit 🙁

Oldbird69 · 19/10/2019 19:54

Thanks @WombleishofThigh, I'll have a look 😁👍

Sugarandspiceandallthat · 19/10/2019 23:45

AIBU to think that OPs should at least give 'closure' to those people kind enough to spend time reading and commenting advice when OPs have asked for it in the first place?

CallMeRachel · 20/10/2019 00:05

I don't think the op owes anyone anything.

Thanks to the person who derailed the op's thread by pulling the race card on the title it has since went off on a bizzare tangent.

The op did say she was signing off so that's it. Show is over.
