AIBU to have been sarky to DP about doritos

gwackywacky · 13/10/2019 14:30

NC because his mums on here.
I decided to make us nachos which I then regretted because messing around with making chili, guacamole, salsa, grating cheese etc was really pissing me off when I just wanted to chill today actually.

So Im at final stage laying it all out and melting the cheese on top when dp comes behind me and rubs his hands down my sides (ugh) and then steals a posh dorito (UGH) and says 'these any good then?'. I didnt reply and he said 'oh yeah, they ARE good!' and i said 'im so relieved they meet his majestys standards'.

Then we had an argument, he accused me of being sarky, and I said I was pissed off at having to cook on a sunday actually. Btw, if I didnt cook his solution would probably be a bowl of cereal (slow clap).

You lost me at “ posh Doritos” love

Tooner · 13/10/2019 15:42

"Cooking nachos"
Fairly hard avocado
Posh doritos
Human bean(did they go in the nachos too)
Sorry OP but this thread has gave me such a laugh on a cold wet sunday afternoon

gwackywacky · 13/10/2019 15:42

@MitziK Ummm no offence but homemade blue cheese burgers, isnt that like smush beef into balls, flatten, slap cheese on top and fry? And you're saying this is more complex than making nachos?

SoupDragon · 13/10/2019 15:43

Why was he sitting on the table?

RolyRolyRolyPoly · 13/10/2019 15:43

oaf, not off!

AFairlyHardAvocado · 13/10/2019 15:44

Guys, can we just take a minute to appreciate how stressful this situation was for me too?

Wanted a name change this week, thank you OP!

GaaaaarlicBread · 13/10/2019 15:46

@AFairlyHardAvocado oh my gosh I’m literally creasing 😂😂😂😂 this whole post is going to go down in history I love it

Bluntness100 · 13/10/2019 15:46

Jesus, you've a lot of weird rules op. And you chose to make the bloody nachos. It's his Sunday too. He's allowed to chill.

If you decide to do something, do it, don't then make his life a misery because of it, and then come up with a load of weird rules about it.

Seriously this must be the oddest thread here. How people live.Confused

Actionhasmagic · 13/10/2019 15:47

You sound fun

gwackywacky · 13/10/2019 15:48

@AFairlyHardAvocado
Haha fair play to you, to be honest I can see the funny side although I personally was fuming. Feeling a bit more chilled now, although he didn't fucking do the washing up so I guess he has that to look forward to when he gets back (hes gone to work)

PennyNotSoWise · 13/10/2019 15:48

'Posh nachos'. Confused

Do you serve them on Royal Doulton with hand painted-periwinkles crockery?

If not, they're just fucking Doritos.

Butchyrestingface · 13/10/2019 15:49

@AFairlyHardAvocado. Love the name change, whoever you are.

Can someone explain to me, as a non avocado connoisseur - is it that the avocados are hard to the touch, or hard to cut, or both?

PinkOboe · 13/10/2019 15:49

I’m only here to find out if there’s another, better Dorito than the usual kind. Is there? I am partial to a Dorito. My husband less so which is perhaps why we rarely argue

gwackywacky · 13/10/2019 15:49

@Amibeingnaive
I take your point but why should I be condemned to crisps in a bowl? Why doesn't he just make nachos?

OP posts:
L0bstersLass · 13/10/2019 15:50

I dont see why I should be fucking around in a kitchen on a Sunday whilst he chills on the PS because otherwise it's a bowl of slightly stale coco pops. And also dont eat whilst I'm still fucking MAKING IT, also dont touch me whilst I'm still making it, it just makes me feel like some kind of sort of sexual maternal figure slave if you get what I mean

Are you due on?

FoodWoes · 13/10/2019 15:50

Nutter than squirrel poo.

ItsMilkAndEggsBitch · 13/10/2019 15:50

Infact. LTB

Bluntness100 · 13/10/2019 15:50

He didn't make nachos because he's happy with a bowl of cereal

What's hard to understand.

gwackywacky · 13/10/2019 15:51

@Bluntness100 You clearly missed the coco pops part then...

OP posts:
Rainbowhairdontcare · 13/10/2019 15:51

What have I just read?

butterybiscuitbasic · 13/10/2019 15:52

@Butchyrestingface neither - it means that in a fight with another avocado they would be likely to win.

gwackywacky · 13/10/2019 15:52

@Bluntness100
Nothing hard to understand. I get it. Either I make food or we survive off cereals our whole life. Would you be happy with that lifestyle?

OP posts:
Piehunter · 13/10/2019 15:53

If you want nachos, you make the nachos. You’ve acknowledged he wasn’t bothered....!!! He didn’t ask... such a bizarre thread. You’re whinging about something YOU CHOSE TO DO?! Also it’s not like he tried to have sex with you over the nachos... he affectionately touched you. Maybe you need to tell him that there’s to be no touching in the kitchen as it makes you feel like a maternal sex slave- regardless of the nature, intention or area of the touching.

ddl1 · 13/10/2019 15:53

I think you are a bit U to choose to make something that involves a lot of work, and then complain about it. Yes, perhaps he could have been a bit more attentive and appreciative; but you could have chosen to make something a bit simpler if you're under that amount of stress.

slashlover · 13/10/2019 15:53

Did you not say that he would be happy with a bowl of CoCo Pops?
