What's worse for your health chocolate or crisps

OP posts:
readingnc · 13/10/2019 11:26

YABU

dementedpixie · 13/10/2019 11:26

Depends how much of each you eat

Fifthtimelucky · 13/10/2019 11:29

Crisps. I am convinced that my high chocolate intake is one of the reasons my iron levels were so high during pregnancy!

Lockheart · 13/10/2019 11:30

What's your AIBU?

Onatreebyariver · 13/10/2019 11:31

yabu

WutheringShites86 · 13/10/2019 11:55

I thought you were going to offer me some! Shock

lostfrequencies · 13/10/2019 11:55

YABVVVU

ThatUserNamesTakenTryAnother · 13/10/2019 11:57

Which is the yabu? Confused

WorraLiberty · 13/10/2019 11:59

Assuming you're in fairly good health anyway, neither are bad in moderation.

Bluntness100 · 13/10/2019 11:59

Did you forget to write which voting button meant what in your lengthy op?

BathshebaAndGabriel · 13/10/2019 12:00

I thought this was going to be the start of an erudite crisp v chocolate debate.
Very disappointing.

Salt and vinegar squares. HTH.

Mrsjayy · 13/10/2019 12:01

I thought you were asking what we prefer Confused i guess it depends how much you eat a bag of crisps or bar of chocolate are not going to do you much harm are they?

CravingCheese · 13/10/2019 12:04

Idk. And it doesn't actually matter imo.
But I'm not too fond of most crisps.

Which is why I'd absolutely pick chocolate. Or cheese. Danablu, gorgonzola, pecorino, provolone, schabziger, brie, Parmesan, feta, fresh goat cheese etc... 😍😍😍
And wine.

I unfortunately currently can't have raw milk. Or wine. Or uncooked blue cheese.... So there's that.

PrincessHoneysuckle · 13/10/2019 12:05

Chocolate.Crisps are basically vegetables

WorraLiberty · 13/10/2019 12:08

Well I've voted YABU anyway cos you've confused me.

Ellmau · 13/10/2019 12:23

Crisps prob bc salt + saturated fat.

Chocolate is dairy which must be good for you :)

BloodyCats · 13/10/2019 12:25

Depends on the quantity!

CravingCheese · 13/10/2019 12:27

I have actually been considering the question.
crisps are fried, salted carbs. That's imo clearly unheathly.

Chocolate has clearly unheathly sugar and debatably healthy dairy. But (at least dark chocolate) also contains antioxidants etc. I'm fairly certain that my favourite kind of chocolate (70+% cacao... But below 92%) is healthier than crisps. But Idk. It's something we eat for pleasure. Doesn't need to be healthy imo...

Also, chocolate sorbet anyone? 😅

I find the voting a bit confusing. So yes, YABU.

Booksandwine80 · 13/10/2019 12:46

Neither. Same as anything in a varied diet.

SmallAndHumble · 13/10/2019 12:49

Thought you were asking for our favourite too - chocolate anyday HTH x

RandomAmanda · 13/10/2019 12:52

@CravingCheese Reading your post then clocking your username Grin

Ellabella989 · 13/10/2019 12:57

Both fine in moderation but if you were to binge on them regularly then I’d say chocolate was worse because of high sugar (unless high cocoa content)

Boredisboring · 13/10/2019 12:59

I like to alternate, which balances both the health risks and benefits Halo

Boredisboring · 13/10/2019 13:02

Also, I have a feeling that sweet calories cancel out savoury calories. I'm going to make millions on my revolutionary dieting regime.

SoyDora · 13/10/2019 13:04

Neither.
