Her weeping after the dance made me cringe. And her grasping of Mike bushel like a love struck teen - burying her head in his neck etc. Are they not meant to be professionals? All the touchy feely stuff is getting a bit much.

All I could think was what the hell has happened to our Saturday night TV???? What with all those Strictly histrionics and then The Wall or whatever... WTF???
No more live TV for me. I'll just choose what to watch - and when.

Saffron has a pretty unpleasant background. Look her up. She's a bully. If they wanted a female social media star then someone like Louise Pentland or Grace Beverley would have been better choices IMO. Grace is also only very early 20's, but she's an Oxbridge student who's also launched a succesful health and fitness business. If I had a teenage daugher I know who I'd rather they looked up to.

I like Katya. She's a great choreographer and one of the pros with a personality even if it is a bit much sometimes.

I am wondering if she's ok though, she has had a hard time this year and I wonder if she isn't coping.

I totally agree with the double standard with her and Kevin Clifton. Typical but disappointing.

Neil didn't seem all that bothered when the stuff with Katya and Seann came out, which made me wonder if it was a marriage of convenience for both of them? A 'bearding' arrangement for him, and a visa one for her? Obviously now she's on Strictly the BBC will sponsor her for a Visa, so that's no longer an issue is it?

They always seemed more like friends than a couple. I think she's struggling because of all the stick she's had from the press.Most notably the foul Dan Wootton from The Sun, a bigger cunt I've yet to come accross.

I've always assumed Neil and Katya had some kind of arrangement that suited them both, but getting off with other people in public wasn't meant to be part of it. I thought they had some sort of career game plan as a couple which rested on them being happily married.

And I've never understood why Katya was assumed to be the main instigator of the snogging - Seannnnnnnn was old enough to know better.

Manonblackbeak, what has Saffron done that is so awful? I googled and didn't find anything. I'd never heard of her before Strictly but she seems a nice enough girl.

DH pointed out that Saffron says the same thing every interview/ time she's the voice over. She hasn't really done enough to have much to say.

I agree with @Ratcatcher9 it must be tough for her same as anyone in that situation plus she has cameras everywhere. I think they worked really hard and it got them to where they needed to be and she was therefore emotional- simple as that.

I thought Katya was superb dancing with Kevin in the Keith Urban segment. She is a really good dancer.

I do worry for her that everything is a bit intense and that's why she's so OTT (putting a brave face on).

Why is everyone so overly invested?! She was delighted he’d done well. If she was over the top, it’s only an entertainment show. It’s not the end of the world

I love katya. Shes one of the best dancers and choreographers but even ive found her a bit annoying the last couple of weeks. I have a theory (based loosely on some rumours from a friend in the industry) that some of the professionals are on something. It helps them cope with their gruelling schedule apparently

This is how it comes across to a degree. I wondered the same or that she was having a tough time with her MH. Something isn’t right that’s for sure. She was hysterical on Saturday night after her dance, it was worrying and uncomfortable to watch. I hope she’s ok, I really like her as a dancer.

Really ? Surely that's like suggesting all professional athletes take something to help them through races.
This is a job for the professional dancers , this is what they get paid to do, and hopefully, enables them to get further paid work.
I should imagine the BBC would drop them like a hot potato if it ever came out they regularly took something more that lots of sugary drinks ,coffee and Red Bull !

No. If i meant that i wouldve said ALL of the professional dancers are on something

Its just a rumour. I dont know obviously but i dont think its impossible

Katya is probably just going through a difficult time at the moment. The whole kissing incident was a disaster.
I do believe that Neil and Katya had some sort of arrangement
