Mirena Coil Removal Help

No idea if this is the right place. I’m new to all of this!

Had Mirena fitted in January for endometrial symptoms, I’m 19 by the way, it’s been hell for the last 9 months cramps have gotten worse etc etc. On a whim on Wednesday I went to sexual health clinic to enquire and they removed it. The nurse was concerned with my symptoms as usual and was asking lots of questions such as do I bleed between periods etc etc, she then asked if I had sex in the last week and I said god know my libido has gone since having the Mirena fitted! (Which it has)

She took it out and gave me Regevidon (been on this before and no issues) I left with my boyfriend and got into the car, took the first pill and went SHIT we had sex the night before!!! This sounds ridiculous because surely I would know, but the last 9 months we’ve probably had sex 3x a month max) I ovulated the day before this (I still got periods on Mirena) but took the morning after pill anyway (within 12 hours of having sex)

Basically has this happened to anyone? Did you get pregnant or not? Basically in 1 day I’ve had the coil removed, took a combined pill and took the morning after pill!

I’m not TOO fussed either way but I just want to know!

Hmmm... I know when I had mine removed early I had to wait atleast 7 days so theres no chance of sperm still present and becoming pregnant. But if you took the MAP you should be fine as that will cover? I dont think the pill is effective untill a week later unless you start it on date of period (this may be incorrect but I’m sure they advised this)

I wouldn’t worry honestly!

Go to the pharmacy tomorrow morning and ask the pharmacist what to do - may just need MAP

Forgot you had sex 😂, I’d say you have taken good precautions but as above worth a trip to the pharmacy

So the nurse asked if you’d had sex in the last week and you said no . But in fact you had sex the day before and taken the morning after pill ??
It won’t do Your body any harm to have taken the other pill apart from some nausea maybe. Only time will tell if you have become pregnant but I’d say that it’s highly unlikely . Maybe do a test in about 4 weeks .

Hahaha it sounds so stupid but it was a very quick ‘I feel bad because we never have sex anymore so we can have a five minute quickie’ 😅 i was more concerned about how concerned she was with the other symptoms! If I am pregnant I wouldn’t mind at all but it’s just the not knowing and also the worry that I’ve hurt a potential baby with a super dose of hormones!
