There's more talk than ever now about mental health. I've battled with my mental health probably since childhood without realising it. I still do but I've come to understand it more which in turn helps me to cope.
I've got 2dc one has just started secondary school, I found out that a few of his friends suffer with depression/anxiety. I found this a bit shocking, I don't know why, I suppose even though I suffered with my own mental health in childhood, I'm guilty of overlooking that of other young people.
I try to meet all of my children's needs, but I do think it can be hard to balance especially when we find ourselves often nagging them half the time.
I wondered if anyone would care to share any tips on helping to look after our children's mental health especially approaching and during the teens when it can be such a tough time for them.
