To sleep in underwear

Just had a conversation with my partner about sleeping in underwear - namely boxers.

I said he shouldn’t do it as he wears jarma pants to bed and he was taken aback and was like why shouldn’t I? I personally wouldn’t go to sleep in a pair of knickers I’d worn all day.

I mean he is an adult so he can do what he wants but I feel it’s unhygienic to wear both especially if you’ve worn the same pair all day

If you wear pyjama bottoms you shouldn’t wear boxers/ knickers too - am I right?

If he was going all day wearing boxers which he then slept in at night, there is no way there would be anything oral going on

I personally wouldn’t go to sleep in a pair of knickers I’d worn all day.

How bizarre and controlling!

Does he tell you that you shouldn’t write the word ‘jarma’ because it isn’t real, or is he quite happy to let you live your own life and do what you want?

Especially so during our recent heatwave summer - I’m surprised he wasn’t boiled!

I imagine he probably adjusted his attire for the heatwave, or didn’t sleep under the duvet for that period, or something. Most of us manage to make suitable adjustments when the weather changes.

This again... Wearing, or not wearing, underwear to bed doesn't affect the breathing abilities of your genitals.

Unless you sleep with your legs open and up in the air, you arent increasing or decreasing air flow to your genitals by wearing/not wearing a pair of pants.

It's just a matter of choice and comfort.

Men bits are not the same as ours, my DH has always slept in his boxers from the day, never an issue

I always wear underwear to bed, I hate the feel of having nothing on between my and any other clothing...

also... never had any problem with "airing my bits"...

I've always worn knickers under my pyjamas. Surely you'd have to wear clean pyjama bottoms every night if you didn't? Who wants to do that amount of washing (or owns that many pairs of pyjamas?!)

I wear knickers and a vest to bed. I hate loose fitting clothes that get twisted when I turn over in the night.

My genitals are just fine thanks and I imagine your partner's are too.

I just wear knickers though I do admit that I put a new pair on before getting into bed.

So it’s not ok to sleep in underwear that you’ve worn for circa 15 hours.

But it is ok to wear PJ bottoms for around 8 hours a night for what a week (?). Pretty rank in my opinion wearing PJ’s without underwear.

I imagine that him having his bollocks secure in his underwear feels better for him than then flopping about in PJ pants and is also none of your business what he wears to bed.

I'd always wear pants with pyjamas because otherwise you need to wear new pyjama bottoms every day. Why would pyjama bottoms somehow be more hygienic than underwear.

I sleep in pants and a vest if I'm on my own. Or naked/just in pants usually, with DP who is also either naked or just in boxers. We both shower daily and I see no reason why I'd need new pants to go to sleep.

I wear knickers with my pj's sometimes the.ones I've worn all day. I feel weird sleeping with no knickers on.

I refuse to use the word knickers! I don’t know why but I hate it. Prefer saying undies or literally anything else! I would say panties before I’d say knickers and I HATE that word! 😂

I wear pyjamas in bed only on the three/four nights a week when DH is away. The same pair, then they go in the wash when he returns home and I sleep naked.
If I'm on my period I wear pants under them otherwise never. I hate the feeling of pants in bed, not too keen on pyjamas either really but it gets a bit chilly on my own.

Do the PJ pants get washed everyday then? I have boxer shorts for sleeping as they are looser than my knickers, which get washed after every wear. I only wear pjs when it's very cold, and then I do wear (a clean pair of) knickers because the PJs only get washed once a week.

I don’t wear anything but if I did I wouldn’t wear underwear and I would wear fresh pjs every night. It’s not a big deal to me though the washer is in constantly anyway.

If I wore pj bottoms I’d wear knickers because presumably you’ll get up in the morning still wearing them, and who wanders around the house with no knickers under their trousers? If you have a drip of any kind it’ll run down your leg instead of being caught by your knickers?
