To sleep in underwear

Just had a conversation with my partner about sleeping in underwear - namely boxers.

I said he shouldn’t do it as he wears jarma pants to bed and he was taken aback and was like why shouldn’t I? I personally wouldn’t go to sleep in a pair of knickers I’d worn all day.

I mean he is an adult so he can do what he wants but I feel it’s unhygienic to wear both especially if you’ve worn the same pair all day

If you wear pyjama bottoms you shouldn’t wear boxers/ knickers too - am I right?

I just wear knickers to bed, and yes they’re generally the ones I’ve worn all day. I shower in the morning and wash bedding regularly.

I wear underwear under my pjs. Either a clean pair when I get home and get changed. Which I then wear all night or a clean pair after my shower on an evening if it's a hair wash day.

I really dislike not wearing underwear under my pjs. It feels unhygienic to me, never had any issues with not airing my bits either.

Can’t speak for him but I don’t. I shower every morning which I feel bad enough about in terms of wasting the worlds resources, without adding in another bath/shower in the evening.

I've known plenty of men that sleep in boxers. As long as he's clean and showers regularly I don't see a problem with it.

Def underwear here as I change these everyday. And can then rewear pjs. Also I like the feel.

I hope people that wear just pjs change their pj bottoms every day - wouldnt want anything against my bits to be there more than one night...

Dif if new in relationship and just wearing nightie/nothing... but i still tended to put pants back on after.

I remember being told at secondary school that it was unhealthy to sleep in underwear, and we should let our body “breathe”

I dont wear underwear in bed but each to their own. As has been said , if he showers there shouldn't be a hygiene issue. But if he doesnt YUK.

Two layers of clothing, plus a duvet, is potentially overheating his testes, which is not good for sperm production. Especially so during our recent heatwave summer - I’m surprised he wasn’t boiled!
DH always slept naked, which is much less sweaty.

I only wear underwear to bed if its that time of the month.

I wear knickers and pj bottoms. Always have. Have never had any issues with my bits despite their apparent lack of breathing.

No pants here! No nothing! Hate feeling bundled up and sweaty-cracked in bed.
