I read a book ages ago but for the life of me I can't remember what it's called. Sods law I think I have thrown it out by accident.
Its driving me insane that I can't remember what it's called so I'm hoping with the power of mums net someone will know what I'm talking about..
A girl breaks up with her boyfriend, her family send her to look after her uncle in the hope they will be left money when he dies, while with him she goes to an Internet cafe and does shifts so she can use the computer.. Uncle gives her some money to spend on herself. She flies out to america (want to say New York) to see her best friend who works at a gallery. Goes to gallery to look at the work, sees an elderly lady look like she is going to faint, runs to catch her and sits on the floor with her until she feels better.
Lady's very rich rude grandson comes to see if shes okay (he's no. 1 eligible bachelor in new york)
They all meet for coffee, elderly lady invites girl back to their house in country, they go to a party where she pretends to be his date.
Elderly lady asks for help finding a house she used to visit in england (I know its the seaside but not sure which one.) when she was growing up. Girl volunteers to go looking as she is going back to england.
Grandson goes as well.
Loses all his luggage and has no money, has to survive on very little money with girl, stay in a B&B she befriends the owner, finda the house, lady buys it. The guy and girl fall in love. Elderly lady gives it to them as a wedding present.
Thank you if you read all that. X
