To have used gloss paint in my dds bedroom?

I had to pick up some paint for a lady that is doing some decorating for us this morning. I was in hurry so stupidly didn’t look at the voc levels and bought gloss with a high voc. It seems very smelly. How long will it last? Is it really bad for you?

I could never sleep in my room for a couple of days when gloss paint had been used. Not sure if they have improved that now. It should say on the back of the tin how long the room should be aired

Couple of days with good ventilation. Your daughter is best not sleeping there if it's stinky tonight. How old is she? Definitely not if she's small.

Should also say that gloss paint these days is absolutely nothing like as hideously toxic as it was back when we were young! If the paintbrushes can be washed in water/detergent then it's all pretty safe.

Thanks all. No she won’t be sleeping in there for a few nights but kicking myself not using the water based gloss. Anyone know how long the paint smell lingers?
