How to hire a Nanny

AIBU to ask how you pay and hire a nanny or to expect one to look after 2 kids for the price of one?
So what do you expect a nanny to do, jist childcare or off bits in the house? Also if I Nanny share with a colleague, do we both pay her her normal day rate (in which case there’s no point in us sharing as our children get half the attention but we pay full money) or do we pay half the day rate each (in which case there’s no point a nanny doing it as she’ll have double the work for the same money)
No idea what to ask of people

How you hire a nanny depends- you can use an agency or advertise yourself on childcare.co.uk or similar sites / local websites. Nanny availability depends where you are.

A nanny share is normally about 1/3 more than a single family rate - so worth it for the sharers and the nannies. There is a nanny page within childcare section and if you ask for this to be moved you may get more advice.
