Hé looks elegant and his age. Tall and slim and happy. All he ever wanted to do was be in a pop group and even that dream lasted longer than he had ever dreamed. He never profited on his friendship with George. He retired early and surfed, what a life! He is happy with his lot, and grateful for the opportunity he had. The most important things to enjoy life.

Andrew looks healthy and handsome. I'm nearly 50 and I don't know what world some of you live in but when I look at my workmates in their 50s none of them look as good as Andrew does now. Pretty much all bald and overweight.

He looks decent enough to me :D lovely eyes! Not quite as gorgeous as Martin Kemp though - now he really has improved with age

I should add that I think he looks fine. And what a life! In many ways he had all the upsides (the fan base, the glamour, the excitement in his 20s) with few of the downsides (until recently, I bet nobody recognised him in the pub in Cornwall). Good luck to him! Seems like a nice chap to boot.

I don't think it's a question of not looking good, more that he looks older than mid 50s. And I'm no spring chicken myself so don't have an unrealistic idea of what people in their 50s look like. If you asked me his age I'd have put him at least 5 years older.

I said to DH who has very similar grey hair, he must be about your age, DH is 58 so I wasn’t far off, I thought he looked very normal and didn’t have too perfect teeth like some have.

He does look good though, strong face, excellent bone structure.

Not sure the OP was picking holes. I think it’s like in the Matrix, where the fake projection of your visual image is not what you really look like. I remember my uncle, seeing me after I’d lost serious amounts of weight, saying his everlasting visual memory of me is as a fat person. When I think of Andrew Ridgley, I have a visual of him in the Wham heyday.

He’s not been in the public eye for a while, so I think it’s normal to be a little taken aback to see the reality versus your memory of someone.

back. I miss George , but I always thought that Andrew had the better deal as he stayed out the limelight and seems to have had a more normal life after all the fame etc.
He seems to be nice enough, but I did read on here that he isn't so who knows? His seems ok on the chat shows and still has lots of fans.

Jeez. What should you look like at 56? He is tall, slim and fit. Spends lots of time cycling ( wonder if his missus is on here complaining about his hobby).

I think it can be a bit of a shock if you are still picturing someone as they were 30 odd years back - nothing so shocking as George Michaels death though. Nothing.

They are-were same age as me.

Its like Dom in MChef is 55. He has white hair so initially he looks old but his face isn't itms.

I think he looks good and certainly healthier and fitter than George was. I think his ageing is just more apparent because he hasn't aged in the public eye- it's like one day he was in his twenties and the next time we saw him he was in his fifties! He's also very slim which most middle aged men aren't!
