To ask for the best twin names ever?

I have twin boys. I won't tell you their names but they are not related or themed. Think Dave and Tom rather than Jack and Daniel.

I do love hearing about twin names though and how different parents deal with it. Do you do obvious links, themes or just two completely different names?

There are two sets of twins in Essex called William and Billy. Also twins in DD2's class called Nina and Tina.

@Stinkycatbreath if you were there in 2010, you’d no doubt have nursed my DD

JasBBGG · 08/10/2019 23:57

I've heard of a Lennox and Lewis!

70sWitch · 09/10/2019 01:25

Worst/ best I ever heard was Winona and Ryder.
No. Honestly!

Deelish75 · 09/10/2019 01:31

Not sure if this was a 90’s urban myth, but I remember someone telling me they’d heard of twin girls called Ellesse and Diadora. (Ellie and Didi for short)

Poetryinaction · 09/10/2019 03:23

I know a Jenna and Morwenna.

MeganTheVegan · 09/10/2019 04:22

In the 1990’s at our North London prep school, there was an American family with B/G twins called Jack & Jill.

My faves have to be our cleaner’s DC. Her DH is called Denis so they called their 3 DD’s Denise, Niselle and Deniselle.

On the US "Teen Mom" programme one girl named her twin girls Aleeah and Alianna.

I don't know any 'themed' - think that's a bit silly but one's I have known:

Boys from school: Jack & James - classic Grin

Twin girls Tallula and Delilah (just love saying these together)

Twin boy/girl Orla & Issac

ilovetofu · 09/10/2019 06:52

Sylvie & Lyla
Georgina & Eloise
Clare & Rosie
Kate & Oliver
Edward & Henry

I went to a baby group with a lady who had twin boys called Harry and William. Her eldest son was called Charles. Very patriotic

Countryescape · 09/10/2019 07:41

The best as in funniest?

Countryescape · 09/10/2019 08:15

Laura and Annie. Two names that do not go together at all.

AgeingDurannie · 09/10/2019 08:40

I have girls twins, but before we knew the sex we were toying with the idea of William and Edward for boys, affectionately shortened to Will and Ed.... until it was pointed out that another nickname option would be Bill and Ted!

SleepingStandingUp · 09/10/2019 08:48

I'm thinking Gabriel and Castiel for our little angels

pawsies · 09/10/2019 09:52

In America my family knew of twins called Ima and Ura

Surname Hogg

So Ima Hogg and Ura Hogg 😳

howodd21 · 09/10/2019 10:05

Have name changed as outing, but years ago when my children were at primary there was a family with 4 girls, Jade, Amber, Crystal and Topaz, then they had a boy, called Liam!

howodd21 · 09/10/2019 10:08

*meant to add, not twins but just thought of the ‘theme’ of names in that family
