To ask how many threads...

Sometimes when reading through Mumsnet, I wonder how many threads people have started on here.

I reckon I’ve done about ten (conception, baby names, pregnancy and AIBU, only twice) I think this is quite a lot. But then I consider when I was trying for a baby Mumsnet was a good place to ask the crazy questions that cause this face Hmm in real life. And after two years of trying, I had a lot of questions.

However, a lot of the AIBU threads sound like similar posters to me - so either a few have very ‘interesting’ lives, or lots of you start threads.

So how many of you started?

Yes I appreciate I could have posted anywhere, but I want the traffic Wink

I’ve been on this site for 7 years and have probably started quite a few threads in that time. Not just in AIBU though, but also on Parenting, Infant Feeding and Relationships.

One, when I wasn't sure if I was in labour or not

Why on earth are you asking this banal question - what is this, the online census?

Are you hunting for sock puppets or something? I don't get the whole "threads sound similar" - do you mean people have the same tone of voice?

Look, YABU in short -

www.mumsnet.com/Talk/site_stuff

this is where this is probably more relevant. Enjoy your "traffic" though

Wow @GinDaddy you’ve certainly told me, you obnoxious tosser.

I was merely asking a question, you can move on with your life.

I’ve been in mums eat on and off for a couple years. I think I’ve started three or four threads mainly about certain schools I’m considering. I do contribute to threads if I think I have something different to add.
I think some threads are completely pointless (afraid baby names or nub theory or am I pregnant top of the list) and I get irritated when someone asks a medical question that frankly no one should attempt to answer unless qualified.
I dint think people have more interesting lives, I think quite a few threads are made up, and while people post for advise some do it purely for entertainment.
