To panic that someone has done something to jeopardise my job? Wwyd?

Received this text message whilst in my car on my lunch today.
I feel sick.
Have hidden the company name they put at the end but I have researched it and it is not local.
Unsure of the best course of action here, as I know I'm going to be worrying about it constantly ☹️ (natural worrier/stress head).
Photo of message attached.
Thanks for advice in advance.

Were you in the blanked out location? If not, there's nothing to worry about and it will just be phishing or similar.

Northernsoullover · 08/10/2019 15:30

I don't understand. Have you taken a photo of someone you shouldn't have?

Newschapter · 08/10/2019 15:31

I don't understand

BernadetteRostankowskiWolowitz · 08/10/2019 15:31

Eh? Is the company name your employer?

Duchessgummybuns · 08/10/2019 15:33

It is good advice, but I’d ignore it. Unless you’ve actually done something, it’s probably just a chancer.

FridayNightLightss · 08/10/2019 15:33

Have hidden the company name they put at the end but I have researched it and it is not local.

So not the company you work for?

IncrediblySadToo · 08/10/2019 15:35

Sorry, I know you’re worried, but none of that makes any sense. Calm down and try again 🌷

marvellousnightforamooncup · 08/10/2019 15:35

More info needed.

Todaythiscouldbe · 08/10/2019 15:35

What?

SuchAToDo · 08/10/2019 15:35

Have you put a photo of yourself or someone else at your company on your social media?

Just show it to your boss and ask them if it's is them and what it's about?

Why do you feel your job is jepordised?

MyReadingChallenge · 08/10/2019 15:36

Your not the guy from Pimlico Plumbers that was in uniform on the BBC News saying how climate change is good news for plumbers are you?!

lonelyonee · 08/10/2019 15:36

No company name is not my employer. I have definitely not taken photos anywhere I shouldn't have and I have lunch in my car just outside my workplace so doesn't make much sense. Like I said it op the company name they have written is not local to my area in the slightest.
It is possible I am being paranoid due to being pregnant.
Have had several very nasty things happen in the past year so am naturally on edge about all things suspicious.

Sounds very menacing.
Show to your boss and tell them you’re worried.

BreakfastAtLitanies · 08/10/2019 15:36

I'd be more worried about a stalker finding your workplace using a photo..

Could you give us more information so we can help decipher it?

LoseLooseLucy · 08/10/2019 15:37

I don't understand why you're panicking if it's not your company that is mentioned?

Walnutwhipster · 08/10/2019 15:37

Have you done something worth worrying about?

Finfintytint · 08/10/2019 15:37

Have you put a photograph of yourself on sm wearing your work clothing?

LightandShadows · 08/10/2019 15:37

I would just assume, they have text you by mistake.

FridayNightLightss · 08/10/2019 15:39

As its not your company, delete it and forget about it. If you were posting pictures of you taking drugs in your uniform or whatever, your company/boss or hr would talk to you not send a mystery text.

PocketMoneyMonster · 08/10/2019 15:39

Sorry, I don't understand either. If the company isn't the company you work for then it's just some phishing crap or a link to steal your details.

Lunafortheloveogod · 08/10/2019 15:39

Text the number back, “Sorry I think you have the wrong number I don’t work for x?” Unless you actually know the person n then just cut the sorry wrong number part.

BigChocFrenzy · 08/10/2019 15:41

Do NOT text back
Do not engage with them

SleepyKat · 08/10/2019 15:42

I think someone has texted the wrong number.

PocketMoneyMonster · 08/10/2019 15:42

Yeah, don't reply. Just delete and move on. It's not for you.

AnchorDownDeepBreath · 08/10/2019 15:42

Don't text back, but it's a wrong number. Bit of a menancing text for whoever it was intended for, but hey, at least they included the company so you know it's not for you.
