To panic that someone has done something to jeopardise my job? Wwyd?

Received this text message whilst in my car on my lunch today.
I feel sick.
Have hidden the company name they put at the end but I have researched it and it is not local.
Unsure of the best course of action here, as I know I'm going to be worrying about it constantly ☹️ (natural worrier/stress head).
Photo of message attached.
Thanks for advice in advance.

It's just a scam, you'd be just as likely to get it on a new number than an old one. Infact I changed my number because of an abusive ex and now I get loads of debt messages and drug deal stuff through, even three years later... I wouldn't change your number unless you need to for other reasons.

CharityDingle · 08/10/2019 19:28

Honestly you don't need to change your number. As most of us here have said, it's a spam text. Emails like that go around as well. Just hoping that they will hit a target and someone will believe that 'they' have something on them.
Delete, block the number and forget about it.

Think it may be time for a number change

Why? there's really no need for that, you'll make your life unnecessarily difficult and won't stop future messages from random number spammers

CoolcoolcoolcoolcoolNoDoubt · 08/10/2019 19:45

How is this still going on? No need for such drama like changing your number when every poster has told you it’s just spam!

This. Seriously. Calm down!

lonelyonee · 08/10/2019 22:12

Okay bloody hell, I didn't realise a number change wouldn't stop spam etc... just my lack of knowledge not me over reacting.

Appreciate the advice from everyone though thank you, think I just needed the reassurance! Smile
