Had a call from an addiction helpline three times now saying I put my number into their website 'callback' system, I did not. Aibu to feel a bit weirded out by this? I have had addiction issues in the past but no reason why these calls should be happening.

That is really odd. Maybe it's a glitch their end if you've called them before?
Or someone keeps putting the wrong number in.
Or...I used to have a different number which someone else in the uk also had. We constantly got messages meant for the other person. Maybe it's that!

Someone entered their number incorrectly. That's all. Nothing to get worried about.

I meant to say, they knew my name as well so can't be someone mistyping their number

Yes that would worry me too, someone has given your details. Or have you registered with the service before?

Someone is having a dig, I suspect. Not nice.

Someone playing a not-even-slightly-funny practical joke on you - that's awful. Block the number and maybe think who would do that to you? They'll have told someone, they probably think it's hilarious.

I'd block the number. Don't mention it to anyone. Sooner or later the person doing this will be so curious that they will ask you about it in a round about way. Then you'll know ...

Is there no way I can find out the IP address?
