Agreed!

RandomMess · 05/10/2019 18:50

Agree!

Sunnysidegold · 05/10/2019 18:50

No need!! I pass stuff down from my older son to my younger one who is a much finer build and then you can pull the waist in. So annoying.

Don't start me on fake pockets.

BestIsWest · 05/10/2019 18:50

And fake pockets. And don’t get me started on bows.

Apolloanddaphne · 05/10/2019 18:51

I'm wearing PJs with real drawstrings.

randomsabreuse · 05/10/2019 18:52

Yep. Took me ages finding shorts to stay up on my narrow hipped 4yo. Her 1 yo brother wore her blade and rose leggings and they stayed up fine!

onthebusoctopus · 05/10/2019 18:52

theyre bloody pointless

EggysMom · 05/10/2019 18:55

I now thoroughly check joggers and shorts for our son before buying, to make sure the drawstring isn't simply decorative - learnt the hard way!

Grumpyrealist77 · 05/10/2019 18:57

But... the EFFORT of adding something like that to something that either needs it or doesn’t....!!????

Namechangeymcnamechange11 · 05/10/2019 19:01

Also learned the hard way with my skinny toddler! All trousers are checked for functioning drawstring or adjustable waist. Everything falls down otherwise.

Grumpyrealist77 · 05/10/2019 19:07

My wife just bought a pair of joggers for hersel with fake strings!!!. So it’s not just toddlers...

OP posts:
EmpressLesbianInChair · 05/10/2019 19:09

Or fake buttons on anything...

Stupid.

Grumpyrealist77 · 05/10/2019 19:09

....to go to an Irish wedding wearing my kilt the “Scottish” way.
My wife is demanding pants, but I don’t want to offend, either way?!?!

As an owner of a tall, skinny 7 year old you are so beyond unreasonable that you've become the most reasonable person on the planet.

Daffodil77 · 05/10/2019 19:15

Don't get me started on decorative buttons when looking for bf-friendly clothes! 😡

MuddlingMackem · 05/10/2019 19:59

YANBU. Fake drawstrings give DD the rage.

I don't tend to wear those types of clothes so it doesn't affect me. I save my rage for inadequate pockets in women's trousers.

Aria999 · 05/10/2019 20:28

YA TOTALLY NBU

I hate them with a passion.

HaveeeeYouMetTed · 05/10/2019 20:35

YANBU. Absolutely pointless. Was going to comment about them on toddler clothes because of my skinny waisted child but it seems a few people have the same issue!
