To buy yet another kitchen

gadget? So far I have a slow cooker, airfryer, George Foreman grill, electric tin opener and toastie maker (all rarely used) alongside the everyday kettle and toaster (both never off) cluttering up my work surfaces. And now I have my eye on an electric steamer. I have started the Slimming World diet, so am trying to eat loads of different veg at every meal.....well dinner-call me a rebel but I'm not following the diet quite THAT meticulously, plus I'd never be off the flipping bog, but I digress. So I am now thinking of buying an electric steamer to cook this array of veg I must eat everyday. Are they any good? Useful? Quick cooking? Easy to clean etc? Any recommendations on which one to buy, bearing in mind I don't have much space due to the aforementioned paraphernalia. I just don't want to buy yet another space hogging, dust gathering article without consideration first. So what do ya think? To buy or not to buy?

Yes you are buy a pan steamer I use mine all the time goes on the top of the hob. If you have a pan set they may do one that matchs the set you already have. Will take up far less space.

I second the pan steamer. Like that you can still use the pan for other things.

I actually have a stove top one (forgot all about it Blush ) but have just checked and there's only one holey layer to it (I'm sure there were two, but can't find the other one). I think I stopped using it because it took a lot lot longer to steam the veg at the top than to boil the spuds at the bottom.
