Anyone have any experience of friends/ family with this mental health issue? I am finding it difficult to cope with!

I have BPD. Can offer a perspective from someone who's suffered for years before finally getting a handle on it?

Hi, I too have BPD and happy to answer any questions or give a point of view from my partner

thank you for your answers. I have a 'friend' that has BPD. As you can imagine this is a difficult relationship. How do I cope with the on/off intensity, passive aggressiveness but also the feeling of being responsible for the person. I am aware the person's behaviour stems from such things as fear of abandonment, but I feel often the behaviour is unacceptable but I cannot be honest about this due to the impact on the 'friend'. It is a relationship I would like to keep but it is very hard. Sorry, if this is not very clear but I am sure the 'friend' reads mumsnet and do not want to upset them.
