Caught my dh in the act

CuntyMcBollocks · 04/10/2019 20:47

I just witnessed my dh do something disgusting, and now I'm having serious second thoughts about staying married to him.

I saw him use one of my sharp kitchen knives to pop a humongous blister on his thumb, and then go to put my knife straight back into the drawer without any attempt to clean it Envy He isn't the man I thought I'd married. Should I leave him?
This is lighthearted by the way.

OP posts:
gavisconismyfriend · 05/10/2019 00:14

I’d just be cross he didn’t let me pop it for him Grin

RubbingHimSourly · 05/10/2019 00:54

Oh I can beat that. I once caught my OH teasing out his toe crud with a steak knife. 😳

WheelDecide · 05/10/2019 06:50

Also upset by 'lighthearted' not like the old days etc etc,

CuntyMcBollocks · 05/10/2019 07:50

I thought it best to add 'lighthearted' as I've seen so many obviously lighthearted threads get ripped to pieces by someone with no sense of humour whatsoever.

On another note, thank God my dh doesn't ever cook, so there's less chance of me ingesting any more of his body fluids unwittingly. I dread to think what else he's done though! Angry

omfg - some of these posts are astoundingly GROSS!
Lordy.
@CuntyMcBollocks 〜 I already knew from the title that this was one of these types of posts -- but truly, only the, "Should I leave him?" part, is warranted to be lighthearted. The rest is justifiable for you to be duly horrified! Flowers

Littlefrog99 · 05/10/2019 09:59

I went to use my eyebrow tweezers and they weren't gripping. On closer inspection I saw some crusty bits that looked suspiciously like scabs. I asked DP if he'd been using them and he admitted he'd been picking a scab out of his nose with them. He didn't even bother trying to clean them! Filthy, disgusting animal. I nearly LTB that day.

Tini17 · 05/10/2019 17:50

Omg OP, how traumatising for you.
Did the children witness it? 🙈
Dettol everything.
LTB without a doubt.

WhatTiggersDoBest · 05/10/2019 18:01

No, don't LTB! Peg DP to the washing line overnight so he gets darked on!

FreshwaterBay · 05/10/2019 18:03

It's not too bad OP.

It is probably just a blister from over-wanking.

Bezalelle · 05/10/2019 18:36

Beastly!

Alleycat1 · 05/10/2019 18:43

Freshwater you beat me to it! 😂

123andBreathe · 05/10/2019 18:55

Bleuggh, why are men so unhygienic?
My DH got caught a couple of days ago spitting on some kitchen roll, then using it to ‘clean’ the worktops.

Scotland32 · 05/10/2019 19:10

I found a mouse dropping in the peanut butter and discovered that my husband had used peanut butter on the mouse trap under the stairs and just kept putting the knife back into the jar as he loaded up the trap. Revolting. He’s lovely but has some fairly revolting habits. What worries me is the ones I don’t even know about!!

Cleverplayonwords · 05/10/2019 19:16

That's really vile 😷

WanderingMind · 05/10/2019 19:31

Vile. Makes me feel vaguely nauseous.

Elieza · 05/10/2019 19:49

@recrudescence the hot tap fills from the hot water boiler which is generally quite large and can have water hanging about in it for ages so it’s generally thought to not be so clean.
Unlike the cold tap in the kitchen which has water direct from the pipe from the street so it’s fresher.
There is a link to legionnaires disease from the hot water tap if the water isn’t boiled sufficiently in the boiler, as heated water causes bacteria to breed, as opposed to roasting hot water if a temperature sufficiently high that bacteria cannot live. That illness kills people.
So the cold water tap should always be used to cook etc with as it’s fresher.
So rinsing cooked rice with potentially bacteria laden warm water and then eating it may not be ideal.
I won’t go into stories about dead pigeons and rats and things falling into water tanks in the loft....

WiseNiceWoman · 05/10/2019 20:40

This is grounds for a divorce can't imagine the other disgusting things he's done if he's done that totally monstrous thing. I think everytime I'd look at him he'd make me vomit of how disgusting a human being he is. Men are more disgusting than women any way but that level well I feel sorry you are married to him. He should have told you first that he was totally disgusting in doing things like that. Send him to Coventry for a month until he learns to be a little OCD in cleanliness!! I'm serious, it's puke and putrid.

FudgeBrownie2019 · 05/10/2019 21:15

Kill him using the knife. It's the only way he'll learn.

mommybear1 · 05/10/2019 22:23

Nooooooooooo EnvyLTB

dexter6000 · 05/10/2019 23:30

Scotland32 - hideous as that story is I’m really laughing here. Only a man....

dexter6000 · 05/10/2019 23:32

Thank you for explaining this. My husband refuses to listen when I try to say it’s bad to use the hot tap for anything other than washing hands and dishes in the kitchen. Really useful - saved on my phone now Smile

dexter6000 · 05/10/2019 23:33

Sorry that was for recro!

Keepitjuicyjuicy · 06/10/2019 00:20

Envy Not envy

TheSerenDipitY · 06/10/2019 00:54

ill bet he uses your fabric scissors for paper too.... the bastard!!!!!!

AnyMinuteNow · 06/10/2019 00:59

I think its a slippery slope from hereon in OP.

Its hopeless now. He is lost to you. There is nothing for it. Call the police and have him arrested. He will thank you in the long run, you will be saving him from himself, this kind of thing will only escalate and you are helping by stopping it right now.
