AIBU to ask if groups of toddlers remind you of a board of zombies? (Lighthearted)

NCed for this as it's to settle a dispute with DH Grin

I go to quite a few toddler groups with DS and I find groups of toddlers a bit scary. They shuffle around, they can't talk, they sometimes surround you if they want something you're holding (or is because they want brains?!). They really remind me of zombies! DH says 15 months of sleep deprivation means I've finally cracked. Who is right?

Honestly... I always feel like the zombie around groups of toddlers. They have so much energy and I have very little 🧟‍♀️

YANBU Grin When DS was that age, one of my absolute favourite things was watching them all at feeding time at birthday parties. All waddling towards the table like they were controlled by some hive brain, and then digging in for 20 minutes of snuffly eating. Somehow simultaneously vacant and utterly focused.

That makes me sound like I don't like toddlers very much, but I really do!

The ones I know are more like Gollum. They get something and it's all "my preciousssssss".

Babybel90 · 04/10/2019 13:17

Yes! I said this to DH, tiny drunk zombies 🤣

Not really, but my DS was FAST.
He startee speed crawling at 7m (with one leg straight out the side so he looked like a spider)
And when he learnt to walk he speed walked/fell over/speed walked then too.
His little cousin was also super speedy.

They reminded me more of bunnys or puppies. A bouncy animal anyways.

I was thinking yesterday at a toddler group that they remind of tiny drunks. Staggering about, all belligerent, irrational and emotionally incontinent (and actually incontinent too Grin)

Good job they’re so stinking cute really.
