To not pay for this plane ticket

I bought two plane tickets with KLM. The price for both was pending all day yesterday and today. But now, only half the amount has been taken out my account.

I’ve received both tickets and numbers etc by email and they still show up on the app.

My partner says I should phone KLM incase we can’t both board the flight when the time comes. I say, what if it’s a mistake on their part and just alerts them to take the rest of the money. Money is tight at the moment.

Has anyone experienced this before? Should I call them?

Its a fairly common thing that happens pending transactions disappear and then will reappear.

There isnt much the OP can do apart from wait and I imagine within a week it will be back

Because it is a glitch somewhere there isnt much speaking to someone can do - repaying it wont help as the KLM is likely to show paid and when the money does disappear the OP ends up having paid twice

Well I am chuckling to myself at the amount of people who have their knickers in a twist, people do get a bit overly serious

Ive mentioned earlier, but I can afford the flights. I just have a lot of outgoings that were unforeseen at the moment so it would relieve some stress to not have to count pennies so closely

However, I called them based on some of the (nicer Wink) previous posters advice and I was told just to wait a while and that as PP’s have said they’re just separate transactions. The money is sat there waiting to go whenever it happens

I have a fairly reasonable moral compass and I think some posters are over-exaggerating theirs Grin

I’m glad of the lesson learned though, means I can watch transactions more closely in the future. I feel awful for anyone caught by something taken at a much later date

Not that reasonable and no I’m not 😅.
I have more time for people who are unashamed about their honesty and don’t make excuses. It’s the ones that say they are are doing something that they know is wrong because of XY or Z.

Dishonesty*

I can’t quite understand why there is a need for a moral compass. Transactions doing this (particularly flights) is fairly common

Doing something vs doing nothing would have ended in the same result within a week the transaction appearing and moving on

If in a week noth8ng happened then maybe look into it
