Or is it too good to be true?

Sounds like a good deal. Are there hidden charges?

Bluewavescrashing · 03/10/2019 19:57

Only hidden charges I can see are city tax and transfers.

I bought one of these kinds of things once and regretted it as three nights turned out to be a late flight arriving and an early flight leaving... meaning it was effectively only two days rather than the four I was expecting. Luckily I was finally able to cancel after complaining to Groupon, but by then flights had gone up in price. Sad

Bluewavescrashing · 03/10/2019 20:14

Hmm, looking at the available flights they are early or late, so antisocial. The thing that bothers me is the website that provides the travel, travelcenter.uk - it just doesn't look right. Every time I click on suggested flight times this comes up. I think booking with them would be a waste if time.

Also Prague is super super expensive

Bluewavescrashing · 03/10/2019 20:21

I like the idea of a city break but would rather save up and book it properly really.

Prague is not expensive at all...

EnglishGirlApproximately · 03/10/2019 20:25

OP Travelcentre are legit they’re part of a group called Moresand who I know well ( I work in the travel industry) The flights are Ryanair and have been cheap for months as the times are awful for a short break, I looked at the STN ones but decided against it due to the limited time you’d get there. I wouldn’t worry about the company though if you fancy it.

Bluewavescrashing · 03/10/2019 20:28

OK so the website could be glitching then?

BanningTheWordNaice · 03/10/2019 20:28

Lol not sure where the fuck in Prague you’d have to go for it be super expensive. Other than the rip off pick n mix shop that I never understand why anyone goes into.

DieSchottin93 · 03/10/2019 20:34

@doublebarellednurse Prague is not expensive at all Confused especially if you go a bit further out of the city centre where it's not so touristy

Pyjamaface · 03/10/2019 20:38

I went to Prague last year for the Xmas markets and they were crap.
Go to see the city if you fancy that but there was nothing amazing or particularly festive amongst the huts dotted here and there

Bluewavescrashing · 03/10/2019 20:41

I'm not too bothered about the markets either really, but a jolly abroad could be an adventure... I won't book it as I can't guarantee my health will be good enough but wondered if anyone has actually booked a deal like this and had a good time?

One of my friend's daughters goes on similar type breaks.

The cons are usually that the hotels are often slightly ropey (but to date all have been just about acceptable) and a fair way out of town so you can end up spending more than expected on transport, and that the flight times are awkward so actually you don't get to spend that much time in the location and it can be quite knackering for a short break.

However, she's a budget restricted but travel orientated young lady who keeps her expectations low and isn't afraid of roughing it a bit, and has really enjoyed most of the experiences she's had. It wouldn't be for me - I like to stay fairly centrally and have enough time to relax rather than be on the go all the time - but I think they serve a purpose.

EnglishGirlApproximately · 03/10/2019 21:44

Yeah I’d guess a system error as they’re a well respected tour operator. They aren’t selling anything any independent agent wouldn’t though if you’d rather book with a person Smile

Bluewavescrashing · 03/10/2019 21:46

Having a look at lastminute.com there are 3 night breaks in Prague with nice flight times for £119 pp. 4 star hotel too.

Yes that server error could mean anything. Doesn’t mean the website isn’t legit, developers use that when they haven’t handled the error so it shows this by default.
