To be so disappointed by some people in regards to Christmas events

It's the same every year, wonderful family-run venues, garden centres, farm shops near me are either not running Christmas grottos etc this year because of abuse last year, or likely will not again because of the abuse they're already getting this year. I cannot fathom how people apparently seem to forget that small venues might not have a budget for a super quick ticketing system, or enough people to answer everyone on social media individually, or to create the mini Lapland so many people seem to expect; and the abuse they get because of it is awful! There's even been some instances of "you've ruined my Christmas!" Which seems an absolutely horrid thing to put on someone!

I really feel for those working in any capacity over Christmas, and if you have to this year, I hope no one goes out if their way to make your life even harder, because it's an incredibly shitty thing to do.

Do people go out of their way, to complain or do they expect properly advertised and organised events?

I've read FB posts which don't have clear times etc and it is frustrating.

Waiting times are different, you can't calculate that in advance but you can cater for it.

complain about what? If they think they have been over-charged for something that wasn't as advertised, they have a point.
If they don't like a free event, they can safely be ignored.
If they pay for something exactly as described, then they can be ignored to, or get a factual reply if it's on social media.

Our local chain of garden centres had to stop a highly popular “santa’s arrival” event because over the past few years people have started to act like animals.
It’s actually crazy how people loose their shit over this kind of thing because their precious little babies can’t be at the front of the queue and god forbid they realise tickets 5 mins before the scheduled time , then all bets are off and it gets super nasty!

It's if there's a slight inconvenience, like the ticket site being slow and suddenly its "I've wasted a whole day, you owe me a day's pay!" Yada yada.

Overcharged etc fair enough to complain, but it's the people blowing a minor annoyance out of proportion and claiming their Christmas to be ruined as a result that really grind my gears.
