So found out I was pregnant on 26th September which would make me 4 weeks and 1 day found out via home testing kit. Fast forward to that night had a gush of red blood lost some clots went to ER had a scan they could see anything my hcg level was 138 they told me id miscarried but to do a preg test in a week and if positive go back for more bloods
Still feeling really pregnant so today Tuesday did preg test and lines are much clearer and thicker than my first test and digital test days regnant 2-3 weeks which is what I would be ! Has anyone else experienced anything like this ? I'll add pictures for reference the first one is my first test second is test from today same brand etc

Honestly no one here can tell you (sorry not being a dick) you need to go back. Will the EPU scan you?
IF this happened to me I’d assume I was still pregnant and progressing ok but I am not a medical professional. Yanbu and I hope this helps somehow

Hi OP, you need to go back to the doctor's for more bloods as they said. Good luck!

twobambinos · 01/10/2019 17:09

If you are very early pregnancy scans can often not show anything especially if it was an abdominal scan.
Like a pp I would assume I was still pregnant if the tests were getting stronger.. But only blood tests will be able to confirm that for you. Everything crossed for you op

Hi guys no just your response is really helpful I don't have anyone to speak to about this I don't what my husband to think I'm a nut 😅 they did a scan but couldnt see a thing and said could be because too early but most likely miscarriage and nothing there I will get bloods done if tests still positive on friday the wait is killing me !

I can only speak from my own experience but I've had this with both pregnancies - one turned out to be a mmc, and I'm now 31 weeks with the second. Are you still bleeding? Keeping everything crossed for you

ArthurandJessie · 01/10/2019 17:12

Thanks so much side eyeing ! No just a tiny bit of spotting still got alot of watery discharge as before still have painful boobs and sicky feeling sleeping alot i did loose a fair amount of blood when it happened probably a pads worth that evening is that what happened to you ?

The first time that ended in MMC was actually only a bit of spotting. This time around I got a gush of blood at around six weeks with a few small clots but it stopped very abruptly. Until ten weeks I then got the odd bit of brown or pink spotting when wiping that finally tailed off. I ended up having around a zillion scans in the early days as no one could work out what was causing the bleeding! It's so hard not knowing one way or another but a repeat blood test should give a good indication and hopefully they'd then be able to refer you to the EPU. By five and a half weeks they should be able to at least see a sac or some indication that something is going on.

Thank you so much for sharing that ! Yes I'll go get some done just be nice to know for sure !

Update guys ! My little miracle survived all the bleeding and my numbers have jumped from 138 to 1587 which means they doubled every 40 hours ! I have what they think is a large polyp which i can actually see which is a bit gross 😅 which has caused some of the bleeding early days but I have a fighter so praying for the best thanks so much for your support and I hope this helps anyone in this situation
