To get serious anxiety when speaking to dwp on the phone?

Just that really. I get seriously anxious when speaking to dwp on the phone even though they are always very nice and friendly.

I get some anxiety anyway but it goes into overdrive occasionally. Dp says I'm being a bit silly because it's the phone and I don't have to speak to them face to face , but i am better at speaking face to face than on the phone.
Anybody else get this ?

I think its normal, some people find speaking on the phone more difficult that face to face.

good luck!

I totally get this! I hate speaking on the phone and cant do it on my very bad anxiety days.
But I tend to just call it "admin" get a coffee and allocate a few mornings to do calls like it was a job.
I even reward myself afterwardsGrin.
I get the nerves with DWP thing as you can feel they are trying to trick you out of money.
I m 100% worse if the call is unexpected!
