Hello...I'm trying to decide which coat to get out of the two.Black or pale pink? Also as much as I'm liking the pink I am wondering if I can get away with wearing it as an everyday coat that will go with anything?Help!

Practically the black one is the winner, as it will show marks less and go with every outfit . However which one do you favour. Do you have any other black or pink coats?

I was going to say I'd got for the black just for this reason, but I suppose it depends on your every day style. Nice coats OP.

Annabk · 29/09/2019 22:13

Black’s infinitely easier to keep clean-looking.

VictoriaBun · 29/09/2019 22:13

Both are lovely, but being the practical bod that I am , I'd be thinking you will always be dry cleaning the pink one !

foreverroses · 29/09/2019 22:13

I actually saw someone wearing a pink coat recently that didn’t go with what she was wearing. However, because it was a coat, it didn’t look too bad! It just looked like that was her coat, over her outfit iyswim.

Black will never date though...

Mosaic123 · 29/09/2019 22:14

I think the pink is so pretty. I would choose that one, however it will need cleaning a little more than the dark one.

Is there a compromise colour, red, green or a mid blue? Less cleaning needed on those darker colours.

22Giraffes · 29/09/2019 22:14

The black is probably more versatile but I really like that dusky pink colour Smile

funmummy48 · 29/09/2019 22:14

I like them both.

eaturveggies · 29/09/2019 22:15

Have you got a link OP?

WorraLiberty · 29/09/2019 22:17

They're both nice but the pink one is likely to look dirty quicker.

BeforeLight · 29/09/2019 22:34

Love them both! Where are they from OP?

Closetbeanmuncher · 29/09/2019 22:41

Pink.

NearlyGranny · 29/09/2019 22:47

If you love the pink, buy the pink. It's luscious! Life is long and has too many black coats in it.

ILearnedItFromABook · 29/09/2019 22:53

I like the black better, but it really does depend on your personal style, wardrobe, and circumstances.

In my case, for instance, I try to avoid solid black, because with three white-coated dogs in the house, try as I might to keep pace with their shedding, anything dark will inevitably put a spotlight on every stray hair I happen to pick up!

Margotshypotheticaldog · 29/09/2019 22:59

Am I the only one who thinks black doesn't go with everything??
I would def pick the pink one. Black doesn't go with blue jeans (even on that model). It doesn't go with brown or navy either. Pink does. So actually, maybe I'm just matching it to my wardrobe, and it depends on what colours you wear daily

Margotshypotheticaldog · 29/09/2019 23:01

I've had a closer look. Still the pink, all the way

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 29/09/2019 23:09

Well it’s a done deal that aside from navy blue black goes with everything.
It’s easier to keep clean.

However the pink is prettier, but
Will it go with all your outfits. That’s if you’re bothered about it matching

GettingABitDesperateNow · 29/09/2019 23:09

Pink! Lovely with jeans

palahvah · 29/09/2019 23:09

Pink. It will cheer you every time you wear it. It will restrict what scarves /gloves/bag you wear but I was so glad I chose a brighter coat rather than black or navy.

MrsPepGuardiola1971 · 30/09/2019 05:04

Pink , black is dreary and looks too manly

Mummaofmytribe · 30/09/2019 05:13

Pink. I've broken free of a lifetime of "safe" coats the last few years. Cheers me up.

Butchyrestingface · 30/09/2019 05:17

The pink one is pretty but if you want wear it everyday, then black, black, black.

Unless you work in a chalky environment. Grin

WeLovetoBoogieonaSaturdayNight · 30/09/2019 05:49

I'm afraid I'd have to get both of them!
I'd do my best to budget/cut down in another area, to be able to get both.

But, if I realy, really had to choose only one -- I'd go for the pink.

If you ever 'need' a black coat for a certain occasion, you can probably borrow one.

HennyPennyHorror · 30/09/2019 06:04

I had a lovely pink tartan wool coat one winter and it was fab. It went with black, brown, grey and navy. Good enough for me. I prefer the pink.

HennyPennyHorror · 30/09/2019 06:05

As MummyofmyTribe says, life's a bit too short to always buy sensible coats. :)
