.."side step jacks"

It's like a jumping jack (which I think of as a star jump) but instead you step left or right with your arms up and then down again when you come back to the middle and again the other way backwards and forwards

I can do it slowly but tried to do a beginner's YouTube workout with fairly quick ones and I couldn't bloody do it at all! Arms and legs all over the place and practically fell over

I've always had bad coordination at certain things so it's not new but I feel like nobody else has trouble with this kind of thing! are there any brain exercises I can do?!

I guess it's just me then 🙈

I do exercise dvds at home, and some exercises make me feel like I have suddenly grown extra arms and legs!! I get all muddled up and embarrassed Grin I know exactly what you mean!!

The best thing to do is to continue doing exercise. Dancing is amazing for co-ordinating both sides of the body and there are so many fab dance-type youtubes to follow. Yoga or pilates will strengthen your core, which will help hugely, too.

Also, go to classes with friends and laugh if you go wrong; it's so much easier to pick up a move or a step when someone's in front of you modelling it than it is on a tv or screen. You'll find you improve your coordination without really thinking about it. And even pros go wrong from time to time, so don't feel bad about it.

I gave up on excersize videos and classes. I would spend more time trying to figure out how to copy the next step than actually doing any exercise. I stick to running now 😂

I am hopeless at this type of thing too. Once went to a line dancing class, omg what a disaster. Could just about do simple steps but when they added in clapping I was all over the place. Even worse were the turns, can't describe the utter embarassment of suddenly finding myself facing a hall full of people all looking at me as I had turned the wrong way Blush
I never went back haha

BlueJava · 29/09/2019 21:36

I don't worry about getting the mive right
.. i just keep going! I dont go to classes because i am so uncoordinated its3nit funng.

Mummybares · 29/09/2019 21:41

I cant. I hate dancing.

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 29/09/2019 21:41

I don’t even know what they are, but my knowledge and participation of exercise is totally non existent. On that basis, I’d say “No”.

BackforGood · 29/09/2019 22:08

Never heard of this. Can't picture what you mean from your description, so I'm going to guess I probably can't do them not that I've ever tried
