I work with a man who’s mid-20s and he constantly bickers with members of the team (usually the same two). He absolutely loves and thrives on attention.

It’s so loud and distracting and complaints have been made before and nothing gets done.

Well it takes two to bicker. If people refuse to engage when he gets started, that's the end of that surely?

I suppose a complaint could be made but I'm not sure it's a disciplinary offence to be a bit argumentative.

I'm surprised your team leader doesn't do anything about it. I would go and see him/her and be very firm about it. I'd say it's disrupting your day and that you will escalate this complaint if nothing is done as it's affecting your working day.
