...to have screamed and then fallen about laughing when they showed the Sistine Chapel?

(Is anyone watching this? It's quite interesting, but obviously the Sistine Chapel is the highlight.)

Ha hahhhhhh hah

SerenDippitty · 27/09/2019 21:52

We visited the Sistine chapel a couple of weeks ago. Why did you find it funny?

MrGsFancyNewVagina · 27/09/2019 21:53

Very good, OP! Grin

isseywithcats · 27/09/2019 21:53

i found the vatican museum brilliant but was totally underwhelmed by the sistine chapel it was that dark you couldnt actually see the fabulous paintings on the ceiling which is why you go there

elp30 · 27/09/2019 21:54

Ha ha ha!
Did you watch and start levitating?!

SabineSchmetterling · 27/09/2019 21:55

Who wouldn’t scream? Grin

ShinyMe · 27/09/2019 21:56

I wonder if the old OP is watching? Maybe she's too overwhelmed.

ChocChocButtons · 27/09/2019 21:57

@SerenDippitty I think she’s referring to a poster who said she was so overwhelmed in the chapel she screamed and her husband was cross with her.

ShinyMe · 27/09/2019 21:59

NameChange84 · 27/09/2019 22:00

Cross posted thanks

ChilliMayo · 27/09/2019 22:04

It's impossible to fall over in Sistine Chapel. You are held upright by the collective pressure of the other 15k standees. Which also means you can't move to go over and give The Screamer a slap to bring her out of it.

I too wanted to scream in the Sistine but for very different reasons, surrounded as I was by underarm odour, halitosis, smelly clothes, eau de Pampers.

bakesalesally · 27/09/2019 22:14

Brilliant!!!

stanski · 27/09/2019 22:26

Thanks for linking the thread @Celebelly I've been laughing out loud reading it.
Made my evening

Toddlerteaplease · 27/09/2019 22:42

I watched it. Took me a while got the penny to drop OP. Though they weren't in the Sistine Chapel this week. Loved the cardinal from Lahore. What a nice guy!

Toddlerteaplease · 27/09/2019 22:44

I could have screamed in disappointment when I was I. It. I was completely underwhelmed by it!

Jocasta2018 · 27/09/2019 22:56

My Mum & I went to see the Sistine Chapel in the early 90s with a family friend that worked in the Vatican. The chapel was closed cos of the restoration but we were allowed in and spent a long time, lying on the floor, with our binoculars looking at the ceiling. Very civilised and quiet and definitely no screaming or fainting - or snapping then farting for that matter!

PositiveVibez · 27/09/2019 23:05

Wipe. Cannot believe the original thread was that long ago!

Time flies when you're screaming in the sistene chapel!

PositiveVibez · 27/09/2019 23:05

Wipe ffs. Should say 'wow'

MissLadyM · 27/09/2019 23:09

I tried not to scream but my eyes are red raw. I was profoundly moved

LynetteScavo · 28/09/2019 14:07

I stated watching it last night, but DH had gone to bed and DD was still up so I didn't think I should. I'm going to watch it in iplayer when everybody's out. I'm hoping I don't alarm the cats.

TheDarkPassenger · 28/09/2019 14:19

Oh hell that thread makes me so bloody ragey.

Her poor husband I’d have physically ran the fuck away. Arghhhh the rage. Why? Why? Arghh

EvenPhilip · 28/09/2019 14:25

BigBairyHollocks · 28/09/2019 14:25
