Can we have a definitive list on types of people whose appearance it is acceptable to pass comment on here?

As far as i can work out MNHQ have two categories:

People about whom it is never acceptable to pass aesthetic judgement:

People who self define as trans and mnhq also agree are trans.

People about whom it is always acceptable to pass aesthetic judgement:

Everyone else - including babies if their parents are famous enough.

Can we at least get a coherent rule that accords with the Equality Act 2010 please MNHQ?

Uh, freedom of speech? Chill out Corbyn.

From what I've read on here of late everyone apart from an adult human female is totes protected Confused

RuffleCrow · 26/09/2019 16:19

You're kidding yourself if you think MN is somewhere free speech is welcome quite frankly @AliceAbsolum. That's the point I'm trying to make. MN has adopted an arbitrary protected status for one category of person and one category of person only as far as I can see.

Me neither.

@samcro op is quite clear in the post.

PotatoShape · 26/09/2019 16:24

When men are presenting as women, we are not allowed to comment on their appearance at all.
But we are allowed to tear into adult human females with abandon, because sexism.

PotatoShape · 26/09/2019 16:25

I'll probably be deleted for my last post. It's that bad here.

Samcro · 26/09/2019 16:26

user1471449295 may be to you. but not to me.

Fromage · 26/09/2019 16:27

I think it's only relevant to comment on appearance if it's relevant. And then it can be done tactfully and kindly.

Unless we're talking about trump or bojo, then all rules are out the window.

Hedgehogblues · 26/09/2019 16:27

We could just not comment on anyone's appearance?

Fromage · 26/09/2019 16:28

So are we not allowed to say whether or not we think a transwoman passes? Are we allowed to say if someone looks scary? Or totally unintimidating? No matter their sex, gender, or snowflake status.

RuffleCrow · 26/09/2019 16:32

Not unless you want a deleted post and a rash of 'friendly' emails from MNHQ @fromage.
