For the first time ever I've managed to get in early enough to get a Waitrose slot for Christmas Eve!!!

Well done Star

I didn't realise they released the slots this early.

Ponoka7 · 26/09/2019 07:12

Christmas eve delivery would terrify me, incase something was left off.

It's like forgetting to put your bins out in December.

But, well done and congratulations Grin

Me too.

WaterSheep · 26/09/2019 07:19

I don't understand Christmas Eve slots. I would be panicking about unavailable items or dodgy substitutions.

Treeli · 26/09/2019 07:21

I don’t understand buying presents this early. Do you just buy what you think people want instead of what they’ve asked for?

My kids choices would have changed loads between now and December!

Neverendingtodolist · 26/09/2019 07:22

You’re brave OP. Pretty certain I remember Waitrose was one of the worst the last couple of years with so many items missing.

MeanMrMustardSeed · 26/09/2019 07:26

Congratulations - you’ve nailed it! I order / buy all essential stuff in t few days before and use Christmas Eve slot for extra bread / milk / orange juice / extras / last minute stuff. And if you don’t need it in t end, you can’t cancel. It’s only Β£60 min spend so can always add a bottle of gin to make up the numbers!

AuntieStella · 26/09/2019 07:27

Well done

But do Christmas things really have to leak out of the topic as early as thus?

It's there for good and considerate reasons.
